Expanding to Africa in 2012, KHIPU has three offices in South Africa which includes a Security Operations Centre (SOC) - handling both local and international managed services, specifically our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) operation.
Location:
KHIPU Networks is headquartered in the UK - our South African offices are in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg. We want an experienced Technical Manager to join us in Port Elizabeth.
Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Manager to provide management, support and mentorship to a growing team of international serving IT professionals - ranging from 1st to 3rd line engineers. This is a challenging and varied role that would suit a self-driven individual wishing to further develop their management career in the networking and security space.
The Technical team consists of a helpdesk supported by external engineers, a service desk manager and several team leaders, which the successful candidate would need to work closely with. The role would also involve motivating and progressing the technical staff, whilst creating a department with an aim of excellence for service delivery and support.
Training would be provided as appropriate and necessary. This role would potentially involve travel both within South Africa and world-wide.

Preferential requirements: Operational experience in managing a multidisciplinary environment from an operation, support and maintenance perspective.
Excellent people management skills.
Ability to make decisions, working within the team and individually
Aptitude and willingness to accept challenges to deliver complex strategies in an ever-changing environment.
5 Years+ Management experience
Desirables
A Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Information Technology OR equivalent.
A background in the IT industry
Customer Service Delivery Experience
Responsibilities:
Maintain a high quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Manage the technical department to ensure an exceptional quality of customer service at all times.
Implement, develop and maintain company policies and procedures
Facilitate company relevant training for the technical staff with plans and set development paths.
Oversee network and system infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
Manage and be responsible for all technical functions from 1st 2nd 3rd line engineers.
Manage projects with project managers by coordinating resources and timelines with other departments as needed
Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and every level of management
Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with suppliers / manufacturers and contractors.
