Role DescriptionICT Executive Permanent Cape Town Industry: Financial Services Purpose: The primary purpose of thisrole is to drive the technological change and advancement of the Company in order to provide adifferentiating, robust and sustainable platform for business growth and transformation whilstmitigating any associated risks. Key Responsibilities: Accountable for the overall performance ofall spheres of the IT business area and to ensure they are aligned to changing and growing businessneeds Ensure the integrity of the IT security infrastructure and stability of the systemsenvironment Govern the technology roadmap and principles to guide future choices that are requiredwith regards to technological developments, innovations and advances in best practices Ensure anynew systems are delivered in line with Group governance standards, expectations and needs Manage andoversee outsourced partners and vendors and ensure service levels are met Overall accountability forthe compliance and risk management of the areas of responsibility Effective budget management forall areas of accountability Provide thought leadership and best practice to ensure competitiveadvantage Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable thecompany to meet its strategic objectives Effective integration with the international group teamsand delivery of group requirements Lead direct reports and their teams to ensure optimalperformance, engagement and succession
Skills and Experience
Minimum Requirements: Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or higher 10 years’ seniormanagement experience within an ICT position within Financial Services/ Retail EnvironmentExperience in developing and operationalising strategies Experience in managing outsourced providersExpert understanding of systems in Retail and/or Consumer Finance Key Competencies: Strongunderstanding of technology and future trends Business acumen Strong leader Numeric and analyticalskills Strong understanding of the systems development life cycle Good understanding of the productlife cycle Systems thinking Innovation and solutions focus Clarity and simplicity of communicationStrong presentation skills (written, verbal and presentation-related) Articulate, rational, coherentand persuasive Disciplined, business focused delivery and impact-astute Effective relationshipmanagement and collaboration skills Contact: Andrea.Messina@eoh.com
