User Support

Provides detailed personal advice and guidance to all users in the effective use of systems, products and services available to them; demonstrates ingenuity in applying knowledge to non-standard situation.
Assist clients phoning the Call Centre by providing HR and Payroll advice and resolving system related enquiries as a means of continuous business improvement.
Within a broad area of competence, investigates problems and other requests for support and determines appropriate actions to take.
Ensures all work is carried out and documented as prescribed by the required standards, methods and procedures.
Operational Support Practitioner implies a high degree of thoroughness, accountability and responsibility.
Checking and controlling of administrative tasks within a financial environment.
Provide users with day-to-day operational field support as well as Functional System Support.
Compiling of messages for broadcasting to the system users on the PERSAL system.
Prepare data for testing and implementation support.
Beta Test system changes and enhancements.

EDUCATION:

Grade 12 NQF Level 4
3 year Degree or Diploma is essential
EXPERIENCE

3 years within support role, providing support on HR / payroll or financial systems
Experience in a call centre environment (REMEDY)
Should speak English fluently (well spoken)
Computer literacy is a pre-requisite.
Must be able to work under pressure
Must have good communication skills
No former government experience

Preferable skills:
Knowledge of the Remedy product and Expertise in one the following areas:
Human resource administration
Leave management
Organisational structures
Payroll (remuneration and benefits)
Calculations of RSA Tax
