You will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. • University Degree or National diploma
• A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar profile is preferred.
• Middleware management and systems administration experience
• Developing Standards, Policies, Processes and Procedures
• LAN/WAN Knowledge
• Proxy Servers experience
• Networking Knowledge, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Maintenance
• Network Storage, Virtualization, Network Operating Systems, Server Hardware and Server Clustering experience
• Linux, Cisco and Windows Server experience
• Database management experience will be valuable, but is not required.
• ITIL and COBIT is highly recommended and will be highly beneficial.
• ISO 27000 Background is highly recommended and will be highly beneficial
Responsibilities:
• Engineering of SA-related solutions for various business, project and operational needs.
• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and business/project/operational requirements.
• Install and configure systems such as infrastructure support applications, Asset Management applications, Backup Systems, Business Applications according to business requirements.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
• Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for Network administration,
• usage, and disaster recovery
• Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless Networks, including cabling, routers, switches, UPSs,
• and other hardware data centre equipment
• Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
Create, change, and delete user accounts per request and provide support per request from various parties.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues and repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
