Job purpose:

is responsible for the computer & telecommunications systems of SCSA and SARO offices including designing and developing application systems, and providing technical support and training to the users; updates and computerizes the major activities of the organization; plans, deploys and administers communication and application technology, through better and available infrastructure for information processing of the organization.

Main responsibilities:

Manage Information Communications Technology and Computer Systems

• Serve as a point of contact to any concerning all ICT related matters for the SCSA / SARO.
• Updates the users with changes and current IT systems, and provides technical support and training to the IT users of the organization;
• Ensures the availability of servers in the network including E-mail server, web server, FTP server and backup server;
• Ensures that the IT equipment are functioning properly and conducts pre- and post-tests of IT-equipment that are out-sourced for maintenance;
• Provide first line IT support to all staff in SCSA / SARO including visiting staff, others.
• Liaise with ICT service providers on technical and contractual matters.

Logistics, Programs and Communications:

• Help the logistics/Program staff in any technical/IT related purchase by specify the minimum requirement in the PRs and analysing offers in any technical purchase committee.
• Assesses and approves of any procurement of IT related equipment

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• B-degree or equivalent in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent.
• 5 years experience directly related to the actual post
• Experience in configuring and managing Windows 2008/2012 server environment and Exchange 2013
• Having excellent proficiency in spoken and written English with strong interpersonal skills
• Have commitment to work longer hours/weekends or on remote field visits whenever needed.
