Software Development Manager needed! (Cape Town)This innovative company provides industry leading Digital solutions to fellow African and global companies…..and they are seeking a Software Development manager from a consulting background.
Requirements
• Relevant qualifications
• Must have been a Software Dev Manager for min 10 years
• Consulting background
• Used Microsoft Tools - .Net or C# or ASP.net
• Managed teams of between 10 -20 developers
Key functions:
• Presales
o Presales requirements for Development Managers depend on the current business needs (demos / writing proposals / work breakdown structures / presentations to customers)
• Billable
o The DM should aim to be minimum 30% billable.
• People Management / HR
• Quality Assurance
• Operational
o Resolution of technical issues / problems in project and support engagements.
o Resource scheduling in various engagements in collaboration with the BU Manager for the division.
o Capacity planning
o Having an understanding of the budget for the division.
o Conducting Code reviews to ensure you understand what each of your resources technical capabilities are.
o Project Engagement / Time and Materials Responsibilities:
Reference Number for this position is LB33567 which is a permanent position based in Cape Town offering a salary of R720 k per annum cost to company negotiable on experience.
