Role details:
Responsible for building and developing business opportunities and achieving targets for new and existing brands within existing and new managed retail accounts.

Assumes responsibility for building and developing new revenue opportunities for designated products & services with new and existing Resellers.
• Manages, promotes and sells designated products.
• Focuses on reseller development through enablement, training, business planning, visits and meetings.
• Fulfills any marketing actions.
• Focuses on specific products to create demand.
• Defines and agrees on upliftment targets by selected reseller group to ensure frequency of orders and average order size.
• Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products and competitors to support the identification of business development opportunities.
• Initiates, lists and closes only those sales opportunities which profitably balance client expectations with specific benefits of Company deliverables.
• Manage Merchandising activities around the products sold in each customer.

Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional relations with all customers and vendor.
• Provides weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts where necessary
• Reports to Vendor on key successes and lost business.
• Attends all planning meetings.
• Ensures that customers are well informed through continual feedback and communication.
• Promotes goodwill and a positive image of Company.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel and Senior Management.
• Executes objectives as set on a quarterly basis.
• Works closely with the BU and other departments to ensure well coordinated operations.
• Acts as a resource and support to other team members.
• Obtains and conveys information as needed.
• Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.
• Attends and participates in meetings as assigned.
• Completes records, reports and documents as required.
• Conducts & coordinates internal telesales training and certification.

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or
assigned.
• Stays informed of industry, market, and product trends.
• Attends product training as requested.
• Attends professional meetings and trade seminars.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Any reasonable and lawful instruction related to work and given by an authorised person.

Qualifications:

Matric.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Skills & Experience:

Excellent knowledge of consumer products and retail sales.
Knowledge of the competitive environment and industry issues.
Strong understanding of product sales and retail sales execution.
Knowledge of customer service and support processes.
2 or more years of related business development and sales experience.
Must have experience in managed retail sales.
Proven successful track record.
