JOB PURPOSE
To planand manage projects in area of accountability.
Duties

Provideaccurate identification of potential risk and escalate issues as required.
Monitor andreport on progress, relevant issues and risks impacting deliverables and take corrective actionwhere necessary.
Manage the change control procedure to gain agreement from project sponsorsand owners for revision to the project.
Identify and analyse business needs related toproject and keep abreast of new business developments that may impact the project.
Identify,assess and manage risks to the success of the project, including the provision and use ofcontingency plans.
Link and communicate unit's objectives back to mandate, schedule andprioritise activities and allocate work to meet identified work outputs.
Deploy resourcesappropriately and anticipate and resolve problems to ensure that tactical targets are achievedwithin agreed deadlines & standards.
Manage a work function or unit by focusing on thedelivery and achievement of set objectives within specified time frames, costs andstandards.
Apply the necessary discretion and judgment in making decisions and overcomingobstacles in order to attain set goals and objectives.
Build strong relationships throughproviding direction and leadership to others and expressing positive expectations.
Plan andmanage projects in area of accountability.

People

Providespecialist support and advice to team members and promote multi skilling within theteam.
Encourage and enable teamwork, by enabling collaboration with others and commitment topursuing set goals.
Implement appropriate people capacity plans in line with delivery andefficiency targets, on budget and in partnership with specialised areas.
Set team directionand gain their full collaboration in achieving the goals of the unit and actively manage associatedperformance.
Develop and maintain a team that is capable for operating to their fullcapability and provide appropriate skills, knowledge andexperience.

Finance

Contribute to the development ofdivisional budgets to minimise expenditure aligned with divisional plans.

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS

Matric
IT related Degree or diploma
2 years managerialexperience
2 years Industry experience
8 years job experience
