We are looking for a strongSenior Infrastructure Project Manager for a 6 months contract to Prepares realistic project andquality plans and tracks activities against the plans, providing regular and accurate reports tostakeholders as appropriate. Monitors costs, timescales and resources used and takes action wherethese deviate from agreed tolerances.

Project Management:
·         Prepares realistic project and quality plans and tracks activities againstthe plans, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
·         Monitors costs, timescales and resources used and takes action where thesedeviate from agreed tolerances.
·         Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate,subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.
·         Individual should have experience of preparation of in depth documentationso that they are able to prepare in depth steering packs, project plans and other projectdocumentation for senior stakeholders (B7 / SX)
 
Change Implementation, planning & Management:
Definingand managing the process of deploying and integrating IT capabilities into the business in a waythat is sensitive to, and fully compatible with, business operations.
·         Creates business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment,data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any businessactivities required to integrate new processes or jobs into the ‘business as usual’environment.
·         Determines the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcomingchanges; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps prior togoing live.
·         Assists the user community in the provision of transition support andchange planning and liaises with the project team.
·         Reports progress on business readiness targets, business engagementactivity, training design and deployment activities, key operational metrics and return toproductivity measures.
·         defines the series and sequence of activities to bring stakeholders to therequired level of commitment, prior to going live.
 
Stakeholder relationship management
The coordination ofrelationships with and between key stakeholders, during the design, management and implementation ofbusiness change.
·         Develops and manages one or more definedcommunication channels and/or stakeholder groups.
·         Initiates communications between stakeholders, acting as a single point ofcontact for defined groups.
·         Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders.Captures and disseminates technical and business information.
Facilitates the business changedecision-making processes and the planning and implementation of change.

Experience of control concepts and practices:
·         Knows what should be communicated, when, and to whom;
·         knows who could help make a good decision; experienced at implementing ormanaging risk management processes and tools;

·         Good knowledge of firm practices in project budgeting; aware of own costdrivers and experienced at negotiation discussions with internal and external suppliers andcustomers. Typically this will involve negotiation of potential blockers to project delivery(timescales / resource) with technical teams to ensure they deliver on time
·         The PM should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of andadherence to governance surrounding both the project lifecycle and technical areas of thebusiness

·         Has estimated, planned & organized own tasks using project managementtools and in collaboration with other streams;
·         has participated in the development of documentation;
·         has identified customer needs, monitored and reported on the service leveland taken action to solve service level issues;
·         Has documented and analyzed alternative IT and operational solutions, risksand benefits, and obtained decision on resolution
Specifically for ProjectManagement:
·         Experienced with creating and managingproject plans
·         Understanding of different projectmethodologies (Prince 2, Agile, PMI)
·         Clear knowledge of project lifecycles and can describe major phases andmilestones within a project
·         Knowledge on documentation required during the lifecycle of a project andcan lead on its production
·         Can manage resources within a project plan
·         Can build simple benefits realization / business case
Can identify common types of risks/ issues, document a plan to mitigate them, andidentify where project dependencies exist through simple RAID logs
