The Role:ROLE OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of this role is to create an Enterprise Technology Architecture which ensures that the Business Strategy and the Technology Strategy are aligned. The role will be focused on Infrastructure, Information Security, Risk, Privacy and Business Continuity domains from an architectural perspective.
ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for lifecycle management of enterprise architecture reference model, reference frameworks, reference architectures, principles, standards and adoption/realisation roadmaps for enterprise architecture capabilities
Accountable for creation and management of blueprints, future state enterprise architecture vision and strategy, principles, standards, capabilities and roadmaps
Develop an enterprise architecture for multifunctional shared services organisation
Produce enterprise architecture recommendations to align with relevant industry and/or organisational best practice
Align technologies to the future state enterprise architecture strategy, principles, standards, capabilities and roadmaps including priority planning
Identify, assess, track and provide mitigations for enterprise architecture risks
Engage with Business and Group Technology Areas regarding enterprise requirements and provide guidance to business
Identify and communicate new and innovative enterprise services provided by the enterprise architecture domain within GPT
Produce and present enterprise architecture artefacts at various governance forums
Ensure alignment between all enterprise architecture domains
Provide input in the production and identification of processes and procedures in support of the enterprise architecture domain
Ensure adequate capacity exists on deployed technologies
Maintain the Infrastructure Replacement Plan (IRP)
Assist in maintaining the IRP budget
Maintain a working relationship with strategic suppliers
Produce papers and writings on research and development work performed
Accountable for providing deep technical expertise for the enterprise capabilities/assets to support project delivery work
Ensure that enterprise architecture is embedded within the System Development Lifecycle (Plan, Build, Run)

Skills Experience:EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification
Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
Experience with enterprise architecture in the SDLC
Minimum 5 yearsC3A2?? experience in the field of Enterprise Architecture
Business analysis experience advantageous
Systems analysis experience advantageous
Delivery in in large and very large corporate organisations with multiple, diverse and complicated business and technical models, technologies and processing environments
Enterprise Architecture software tools, industry standards and frameworks

Key Accountabilities:Strategy Alignmen
Ensure the alignment of the enterprise architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations
Apply a structured enterprise architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the business unit in the context of the enterprise
Business scenario development to help elaborate strategic decisions and/or build
Ensure that the enterprise architecture domain strategy is integrated / aligned to the remaining domains
Responsible for facilitation of planning and strategy efforts along with business and project roadmaps
Continuous Improvement
Capture and maintain the tactical and strategic architecture goals that provide traceability through the organisation and are mapped to metrics that provide on-going governance
Maintain the enterprise architecture policy framework, reference architectures and roadmaps
Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state

Provide leadership in the comprehensive planning, development and execution for enterprise strategy and execution
Provide related input into the business, services, information and application architecture domains
Provide enterprise architecture guidance to solution architects to ensure project compliance with enterprise and domain architectural blueprints
Provide guidance with solution development processes that are sensitive to the constraints and needs of the business
Ensure knowledge is shared amongst peers through various mentoring initiatives
Provide input into, facilitate and manage (where require) Business Case development

Analyse enterprise business context (trends and business strategy), as well as change requirements in other enterprise architecture viewpoints. This includes defining the requirements and models that guide decisions for the enterprise
Document necessary enterprise architecture design and analysis work, possibly including project post-mortem documentation and metric collection
C382C2Architectural Implementation
Ensure that the enterprise architecture domain has a well documented reference model that is measurable (based on maturity) and communicated
Develop and execute enterprise architecture roadmaps and plans
Create and implement standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure reproducible development and high quality
Work closely with operations and development teams to ensure that solutions meet customer, legislative and compliance requirements
Governance
Provide input into the design of services, products and/or solutions lifecycle
Provide guidance in terms of setting governance standards with regards to enterprise architecture
Ensure that governance is adhered to enterprise architecture through various forums including an Architecture Review Board, Design Authorities etcC3A2?C2A6
Report on a monthly basis on progress
Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain relationships within relevant business units
Ensure understanding of their requirements; provide input (artefacts) and elicit feedback
Work closely with operations and development teams to ensure that services, products and/or solutions meet customer and legislative and compliance requirements.
Proactive Team Support
Provide proactive, on-going support to cross functional teams and team members in order to support a mature working environment.
