Main Purpose:

• To provide last level support and innovation relating in the delivery of technical activities related to SWD services in order to assist CCS in achieving its contractual obligations to its internal and external clients
• To implement and maintain Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager focusing on daily health checks and configuration changes to enhance performance.
• To plan, schedule, execute and communicate the effective deployment and maintenance of software packages into the client environments, according to the client service agreement using Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager tools with appropriate reporting.

Description of responsibilities:

• To effectively implement and maintain the Toolsets / utilities in line with client engineering services responsibility. (e.g. SCCM, TSSG, other)
• To effectively plan and schedule software deployments to client environments, keeping within given SLA's.
• To execute the effective release of pre-packed software packages to the client environments using the current tools in use and other innovative methods when required.
• To effectively provide measurable reports of deployment status and results.
• To effectively provide periodic management reporting in support of deployment status, trends analysis and maintenance of toolsets.
• To maintain effective co-operation with supporting functions through relevant knowledge transfer and assistance in aid of first line support.
• To effectively create and maintain the toolset's artefacts including distributed infrastructure in support of system optimization e.g. Software Profiles, Packages, Collections, etc.
• To effectively maintain the system health of toolsets by performing scheduled tasks.
• To effectively plan and schedule security patches / software to client environments, in support of vulnerability management keeping within given KPI’s/SLA's.
• To ensure quality outputs by defining processes and procedures in support of compliance with KPI’s/SLA's with good governance principles
• To participate in the facilitation of environment for technical testing and research for Proof of Concepts, System upgrades and service improvement
• To effectively enhance software distribution systems to improve the overall services of workstation./server management in order to fully support T-Systems and their clients in the latest technology
• To effectively participate in Proof of Concepts and Projects in order provide new solutions (Solution Crafting)
• To provide effective knowledge transfer to various business areas in respect to last level support in order to empower 1st, 2nd level support to perform trouble shooting to resolve any issues
• To effectively implement and maintain the Toolsets / utilities in line with client engineering services responsibility. (e.g. SCCM and all supporting utilities)
• To effectively perform last Level Support activities in order to resolve technical challenges (manage P1/P2 calls to RCA completion)

Qualifications and experience required:

• Matric (Grade 12) compulsory
• Tertiary IT qualification (Degree, Diploma, MCSE, etc.) is highly recommended
• Solid work experience (3 – 5 years) with Microsoft operating systems is compulsory
• Solid work experience (4 – 6 years) certification in Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager is compulsory
• Solid work experience (2 - 3 years) in software configurations for installations is a requirement
• Solid work experience (at least 5 years) in Microsoft Active Directory disciplines is a requirement
