IT InfrastructureEngineer (Network) International Company Based in Sandton The IT Infrastructure Engineer (Network)will be responsible for all aspects of design and development of the firm’s UnifiedCommunications and video conferencing infrastructure systems, including, but not limited to,hardware and software configuration, deployment, support and maintenance, telecommunication lines,and integrations to other collaborations systems. Further, the Engineer will be part of the NetworkInfrastructure team providing support for network engineering and remote-access VPN issues. Thesuccessful candidate will be working with the engineering team to manage the firm’s voice,video, and networking infrastructure including call processing, voicemail, call queuing, MCU,scheduling, recording, integrations with other telephony and video systems and 3rd partyintegrations, related network and security equipment. Individually and as part of cross-disciplineteams, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the telephony, video conferencing, and networksystems and other infrastructure elements within the firm For both new projects and on-goingoperations, provide assessment of infrastructure-centric and user-oriented collaboration and networkneeds, valuate interfaces and integration points between hardware and software, and determine alloperational and performance requirements Work with service desk specialists, desktop infrastructureengineers, system and storage engineers, and IT Managers to provide end-user support as a tier-3technical subject matter expert Participate in the creation and maintenance of technical servicedesign documents, procedures, policies, and manuals Assist with the development of the firm'stelephony, video conferencing, and network infrastructure design standards ensuring the design,where appropriate, incorporates industry best practices Carry out audits of the firm's globaltelephony, video conferencing, and network infrastructure to ensure that the network complies withthe firm’s standards appropriate for the office IT topology and size Progress assignedprojects and tasks with the aim of delivering them on time and to budget using the firm's agreedProject Management procedures Produce monthly statistics, metrics and reports on the telephony,video conferencing, and network infrastructure and identify areas of risk and usage trends Assist inthe analysis and testing of new and upgraded software Assist in providing post-implementationsupport for newly implemented systems When applicable, properly evaluate and document/train othersin the initial troubleshooting techniques to be used by tier-1 and 2 support for completingcollaboration and network engineering support calls Participate in rotational on-callresponsibilities

Skills and Experience
