Reports To : CEO


Responsibility to drive digital initiatives that support and enhance the digital customer experience across all digital channels within Small & Medium Business. Develop and implement the direction of online channels and products to enable their successful provision and availability
in best servicing customer needs. Drive eCommerce through the digital channels and ensure the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with consumers.

Define the strategy and drive digital initiatives that support and enhance the digital customer experience across all digital channels
- Ensure customer centricity in all activities
- Develop metrics and analytics to measure campaign promotions through digital channels
- Drive the design, development and optimisation of the digital channel experience
- Align to other non-digital platform channel strategies and content
- Act as digital owner that drives all digital channel interactions
- Shape and support brand strategies to build enhanced consumer contact and engagement using market specific digital channels
- Understanding the features required by SMB and working with vendors to deliver a coherent digital roadmap
- Manage technology vendors to ensure delivery targets are met
- Understanding of analytics across the platforms
- Manage technology interfaces with IT
- Ensure alignment and insights into marketing team strategy, plan and execution for specific digital channels
- Monitor industry trends around digital content consumptions in various markets
- Identify innovative opportunities to optimise and enhance content distribution across the various regions/ hubs
- Lead innovative thinking and provide insights to new technology
- Maintain knowledge of new trends, developments, techniques, in paid digital search, display, and social media advertising techniques
- Frequently capture, test, and evaluate data/ trends to identify any emerging changes for search and display services
- Monitor, evaluate, and leverage processes to manage a campaigns performance to determine improvement opportunities

- Monitor financial performance continuously against set financial targets, forecast and identifying new opportunities for improved performance.
- Implement corrective action timeously to address deviations from the financial targets.
Customers (Satisfied Customers)
- Follow customer responses to new ideas, track and analyse the success of new products or services, and respond to customer questions or concerns.
- Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
Operational (Agile, Effective and Seamless Organisation)
- Monitor research and development of other organisations to spot trends in innovation and supplement research findings in the industry.
- Brainstorm with the creative team to discover new solutions and approaches to old problems.
- Recognise promising ideas and finds ways to introduce them into the company#s future plan.
- Judge when to discard ideas that are ineffective, costly, or beyond the scope of the company#s mission or abilities to develop.
- Encourage creative thinking and finding ways to nurture innovative ideas across all areas of the business. Keep all new projects in line with SMB#s

- Cultivate a culture of teamwork through collaboration, interaction and regular communication with relevant stakeholders within SMB.
- Motivate and coach the team to deliver against performance targets, develop and enhance team effectiveness and direct reports.



Relevant 3-year Degree (IT/ Engineering/ Commerce) (NQF level 7)


8 Years relevant experience, of which at least 3 years on senior management level


Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex issues.
Strong track record of leading teams and consistently delivering results in a digital and agile environment.
Excellent leadership & communication skills.
Strong business and finance acumen.
Experience in start-up environments, either in a start-up or as part of larger organization
Ambitious, energetic, and result oriented.
