Role details:
Senior Artisan / Millwright My Client is looking to employ a Senior Artisan / Millwright with Aerosol machine experienced that will be responsible to lead improvement projects on filling and assembly lines; this includes training artisans on lines fault finding.

Minimum Required Criteria:
Aerosol machine experienced is a must
Qualified Artisan/ Fitter NQF Level 4 plus Trade Test + Electrician (Millwright)
At least 7 years’ experience in a maintenance environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to problem solves and makes decisions
Good team player.
Self-motivated and the ability to work without supervision
Ability to work under pressure
Valid driver’s license essential
Experience with Planned Maintenance Systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the mechanical/electrical improvement maintenance of all equipment, machinery and plant as directed by the Engineering Supervisor
Carries out retrofits to machinery when directed
Install new equipment when directed.
Advises Engineering Supervisor on the status of machinery and plant on all matters, which may affect future plant availability and spare parts required or status of stock
Advises Engineering Supervisor and/or SHE Manager on all matters regarding safety of plant, machinery, and equipment and implements measures to ensure that line personnel is properly protected.
In attending to the above ensures optimum economic plant availability.
Provides practical training for artisan aide as directed by Engineering Manager and/or Engineering Supervisor
Conduct monthly performance assessment with all trainees and recommend actions resulting from these assessments to the Engineering Supervisor.
Motivate subordinates in such a manner as to achieve maximum efficiencies and productivity.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and instructions which forms part of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) management system of the company.
Provide expert advice on capital projects.
Conducts Root Cause Analysis and other problem solving techniques
Interprets and filters down overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) information to filters.
