Job Title IT Systems AdministratorReports To IT Technical Manager
Job Purpose
As a technical expert, this individual is responsible for the provisioning,
installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and overall
system administration of the Microsoft and VMWare Enterprise systems.
Minimum Required
Qualifications and Experience
? Matric (Essential)
? MCSE 2012 (Essential)
? VCP Advantageous
? Good working knowledge with VMWare systems
? Proven track record showing extensive experience with Microsoft systems, including but not limited to:
o Active Directory
o DNS
o DHCP
o GPO
o Exchange
o Skype for Business
o WSUS
o SCCM
? Proven track record showing extensive experience with network and systems capacity planning / alerting and monitoring
? A solid understanding of LAN/WAN/Wi?Fi and MPLS networking
? Minimum of 2+ years' experience in System Administration (Essential)
? Valid drivers' license (Essential)
? Own reliable transport (Essential)
Key Responsibilities
Active Directory
? AD configuration, replication, availability and security.
? Users / Groups account creation, modification, deletion, recovery.
? Housekeeping duties to keep AD clear of stale, unused, expired, and objects no longer needed.
? Promote / demote AD servers
? FSMO Roles allocation
? AD Roles Delegation
DNS
? DNS configuration, replication, availability and security.
? Scavenging and aging of DNS records.
? Zone Management
DHCP
? Configure and maintain various DHCP scopes on different servers / routers countrywide
Group Policy
? Create, maintain, modify, delete and test Group Policy Objects including but not limited to:
o Software deployments
o Logon scripts
o Software upgrades
o Wallpapers
o Screensavers
o Firewall settings
o Printer Mappings
o Drive Mappings
Microsoft Exchange
? Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot Exchange 2013
? DAG Management
? Create, configure, maintain, modify, delete accounts:
o User, Distribution, Resource Mailboxes
o Mailbox quotas / limits
o Internal Mail relay
o Database size management
o Certificate management
? Reporting and scripting - PowerShell
Microsoft Lync / Skype for Business
? Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot Lync 2013
o Front End as well as Back End Servers
? Topology Management

? Process and truncate SQL logs

? Daily reporting on backups and replication
Patch Management
? Install, configure, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot WSUS
? Ensure all servers and workstations are up to date with Security
and Critical Windows Updates
? Weekly and monthly reports
? Install, configure, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot Anti?Virus
? Weekly and monthly reports
SCCM
? Install, configure, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot SCCM
? Deploy software to all workstations country wide
? Hardware and Software inventory /reporting
