A major Banking environment (at the forefront of design) requires the expertise of a Senior Designer Specialist / Design Director to lead an agile product squad; and work closely with other UX Specialists, visual designers, frontend and backend engineers, and other internal teams to help deliver exceptional user experiences. This job is suited to a veteran in Design, a master in UI and UX, and someone is highly experienced in stakeholder management - if this shouts out at you, then read on!

Knowledge and skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience (10+ years) creating engaging designs for web and mobile applications. Must be an organisational influencer when it comes to strategy, direction
• Highly experienced in stakeholder management and engagement
• Highly experienced in the full human centred design process
• Must have a portfolio of exemplary design and user research deliverables, as well; as demonstrates leadership and ability
• Expert knowledge of UX and interaction design best-practices and patterns
• Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• accountable for the design strategy working closely with senior design leadership to define, pivot and implement the aforementioned strategy
• ensure that the overall quality of the customer experience through Design Execution is to the highest standards.
• responsible for making sure that, as an internal business, the Design Team are positioned strategically for scale in its skills capability, succession plans and distribution throughout the business.
