About the Job

The SQL Server Developer will interface with subject matter experts, development teams, and BI experts on a daily basis to satisfy the organization's business objectives and corresponding reporting requirements, translating them into clear and concise technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

Development and maintenance of company-wide Microsoft Business Intelligence and Reporting Solutions
Interact with business analysts and project managers to understand business needs
Transform business and analytical needs into technical design
Design and develop additions to existing database solutions or new database solutions while following internal best practices
Support ETL procedures as part of a data warehouse environment
Help create and maintain documentation of BI systems architecture, reporting specifications, data processes and business rules
Optimization of Queries
Participate in Quality Assurance tasks and Ensure integrity, reliability & quality of data
Support data management initiatives
Required skills
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with SQL Server; version 2008/2012 is preferred
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with T-SQL and procedures
Knowledge of Basic Data Warehouse Concepts
Experience with SSIS and SSAS
Experience with PowerPivot is a plus
Experience with additional databases such as MySQL is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills; can clearly communicate data and insights to others
High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to work independently and be a great team-player providing support to development team
Solid understanding of development cycle
Exceptional analytical skills
