Global market leader in FMCG has a superb career opportunity for an experienced Labour Relations Manager. Reporting directly to the HR Director for SA you will be responsible for overseeing employee and labour relations issues. Fully involved in actioning the labour strategy – being able to work in a pre-agreed framework and know what to consult on, implement, escalate etc. and when.Be responsible and accountable for all labour cases – make Line Managers and HR manager aware, follow-up and drive resolution from beginning to end.
Provide day to day leadership serving as a resource and point of contact to management and employees on issues that arise in the workplace by consistently interpreting, applying and administering company policies and labour contracts.
Managing standard HR process such as disciplinary hearings/ (attending the CCMA)
Education
• Relevant Human Resources and Business tertiary education
Experience
• 5+ years of working experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a IR Manager & Labour Specialist in a Unionised environment
Accountabliites
Handle grievances, arbitrations, dispute resolution, communications, contract negotiations and other legal matters and seeks advice, when necessary, from the appropriate resources.
Track and monitor grievances as well as developing effective strategies to reduce reported grievances and disputes.
Collaborate with unions to resolve issues and address concerns
Research and/or prepare  responses to Union requests for information
Establish effective working relationships with management, employees and union representatives throughout the organization.
Lead and coordinate union management meetings and development of agenda. + Build and manage strong relationships with leaders throughout the organisation. + Conduct thorough investigations of grievances and other employee issues and contract compliance. Ensure consistency for all disciplinary actions.
