Job Description:

• Interpret the business requirements to produce a detailed technical specification document for custom systems and development integration requirements
• Work with other architects to create an optimal solution according to the customer’s environment, requirements and financial resources
• Provide solutions for various Integration Projects from 3rd party applications to Oracle Fusion Middleware environments
• Ensure a quality system design which performs well and is flexible for future scaling/changes
• Draft and improve technical standards
• Train team members on architecture of environments
• Provide advisory and troubleshooting support
• Provide a central point for all technical issues and initiatives in the environment
• Oversee and ensure all technical components of the solution is properly implemented
• Manage multiple designs and projects to meet project and customer timelines
• Participate and lead (when needed) the project meetings with team members and customer
• Participate in internal projects as required
• Build and maintain repository for deliverables and methodologies documents
• Continuously improve aspects of environments
• Assist the Release-, Environment- and Performance Testing teams when environments/applications fail performance testing
• Partake in implementation and planning of new technologies and their POCs
• Provide recommendations with regards to the design and planning of new Enterprise Portal PROD/SUPP/PERF/QA/DEV environments
• Investigate, review and provide costing for new tools and technologies which could benefit teams/environments
• Partake in Business Cases
• Partake in Costing Exercises for Projects/Business Cases
• Assist in providing information and requirements for RFQs for Telkom
• Plan and implement strategies to be used in Enterprise Portal for certain component configurations
• Partake in the Enterprise Portal Change Control Board
• Partake in Vendor meetings on behalf of Telkom
• Identification and alignment of tools to be used within Enterprise Portal by teams
• Communicate any architectural changes within Enterprise Portal to team members and other stakeholders
• Setup and facilitate Environment Architecture Forum Meetings
• Create and maintain architecture knowledge base on the Telkom Sharepoint
• Define standard services/components which needs to be monitored for a typical architecture
• Provide solutions and information for Disaster Recovery for Enterprise Portal
• Create presentations for Executives on the Disaster Recovery Strategy for Enterprise Portal
• Partake in the Disaster Recovery Exercises for Enterprise Portal
• Handle risks and mitigation thereof related to Disaster Recovery for Enterprise Portal
• Review Oracle Licences within Enterprise Portal and ensure Telkom complies
• Define patching strategy for Telkom
• Ensure patching execution is according to best practices
• Plan, document and coordinate Major implementations
• Partake in major implementations
• Provide regular feedback to Executives and Senior Managers on implementations
• Represent Enterprise Portal in other Company wide Implementations
• Identify and coordinate improvement projects/tasks for Telkom
• Draft Roles and Responsibilities between teams in department
• Assist in constant improvements of methods and procedures for Telkom
• Partake in defining KPIs for the various teams in the department
• Assist in completing a skills gap analysis for group and identifying critical skills required
• Identify cost saving opportunities for Telkom
• Create various templates (implementation plans, deployment checklists, deployment questionnaires, environment build questionnaires etc) for teams to use
• Provide weekly and monthly operational reports to Senior Management
• Attend and provide accurate feedback in Senior Management Meetings
• Facilitate team collaboration between different departments

Experience:

QUALIFICATIONS
• Typically educated to university level (e.g. BSc. or MSc.). Otherwise, may hold a relevant professional qualification.


EXPERIENCE
• 7 years + working experience with Oracle Application Server, Oracle WebLogic Server and other Oracle Fusion Middleware products.
• At least 3 years’ experience working in a Telecommunications company
• 7+ years Working knowledge and experience in Oracle 10g OC4J technologies
• 7+ years’ experience with working with J2EE Applications
• 7 + years’ experience with working with Spring and Hibernate technologies
• 7 + Years - Oracle 10g/11g SSO knowledge and working experience
• 7 + Years - Oracle 10g/11g IDM knowledge and working experience
Technical Experience
• Experience in different areas of IT (i.e.: Database Administration, Java Development, Oracle Application Server and Java Application Support)
• Experience in previous systems integrations projects
• Hands on experience in Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Architecture, especially Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Application Server
• Fluent in architecture designs and documentation thereof.
• Experience in management of projects
• Experience on H/A and Redundancy for Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Application Server
• Knowledge in optimization of the Oracle Fusion Middleware platform and java-based applications.
• Knowledge in monitoring and diagnosing the Oracle Fusion Middleware platform and java-based applications running on it.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of Web Service API’s for integration purposes
• Ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs
• Knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
• Familiar with Software SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
• Experience in Agile environments/projects
