We currently lookingfor a Site Reliability Engineer to support fast paced digital systems. These systems arepredominantly hosted in AWS. You will be a developer of automation to support the softwaredevelopment life-cycle using AWS series together with a DevOps toolset consisting of Jenkins, Jiraand Bitbucket.Knowledge
Essential:
5+ years AWS experience (S3, cloudformation scripts,Lamda’s, SES, SQS and step functions)
5+ years Experience in distributed source controlsystems, like GIT
5+ years Human-readable data serialization language - JSON and YAML
5+years Experience with microservices architecture
5+ years Programming language - Python
3 + years Hands on experience in a DevOps environment
Job objectives
You will play anactive role in optimizing service lifecycle, including design, deployment, monitoring, generaloperations
Participate in incident response and on-call rotation wherein you will triage, takeon problems, and provide post-mortems on production issues
Develop and operate solutionsnecessary to support and improve cloud operations. E.g. monitoring and logging solutions orstress-test frameworks
Improve the reliability, robustness, and scalability of our cloudservices
Provide support for application issues, as well as various operational tasks such asmanagement and deployment of the application.
You will work closely with dev team to gainin-depth knowledge to learn about how each application works in terms of business logic, securityaspects, deployment environments and the relevant software processes involved.
There areopportunities to do programming to help automate application setup/config, monitor, deployment andsanity testing.
Understand the evolving business environment to help establish servicemetrics that meet the needs of our customers
Collaborate with other Software and HardwareEngineering teams to identify, deliver and implement system features that serve the mission of theteam.
Manage and support DevOPs toolset including Jira, Confluence, Jenkins and Bitbucket.
