We are looking for an experienced Mobile developer to join a dynamic Software Engineering team. The successful applicant will be working with top engineers to develop and maintain mobile applications.
We need someone who is passionate about mobile platforms and who can translate code into user-friendly apps. As a Mobile developer, the candidate will collaborate with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications, while working in an agile environment.
Education Required:
Matric / Gr. 12
Diploma (minimum 3 years) or B.Sc. IT or equivalent

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the whole application lifecycle
• Produce fully functional mobile applications writing
clean code
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize performance
• Design interfaces to improve user experience
• Liaise with Product development team to plan new
features
• Research and suggest new mobile products,
applications and protocols
• Using and adapting existing web applications for apps

Other work included:
• Meeting with system users to understand the scope
of projects
• Working with software developers and project support
teams
• Identifying business requirements
• Project planning
• Monitoring applications and software systems
• Problem solving
• Presenting findings to software development and
business user teams

Experience Required:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a software
developer
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Android
applications developer
• Experience with Android Studio and SDK Tools
• Proven work experience as a mobile developer
• Familiarity with OOP design principles
• Business knowledge: mobile applications
development
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape,
architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Java, SQLite, Web Services & RESTful APIs
• Understanding of available framework(s) for
application development on Android
• Understanding of Android's best practices for
application development

Advantageous Technology Knowledge:
• Cross-platform Mobile application development
• HTML5, CSS, JSON, AJAX, jQuery, MVC, REST,
JavaScript
• Querying Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL)
• C#, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift

• Proficiency in Business English
