The Key Performance Areas of this role will be as follows:

- Strategic thinking (engaging with the business, challenging business & prevalent Infotec thinking, conducting research and investigations, understanding industry best practice, identifying emerging trends and technologies, understanding their relevance and application within our industry)
- Strategic delivery (formulating and/or updating the EUC Strategy for Head Office, breaking down strategy into tactical objectives, creating the relevant structures and plans to ensure that the tactical objectives are met, tracking and driving delivery against those plans)
- Long Term planning (prepare 3-5 year Systems Roadmap, revise and re-align as TFG and Infotec strategy evolves)
- People management (leadership role within the Service Management Centre, providing direction in terms of Infotec and business strategy, mentoring and enabling the development of managers & senior technical staff reporting into this role, maintaining alignment between skill sets and the Systems Roadmap, ensuring that resources are fully utilised and effectively deployed)
- Financial management (3-5 year OPEX and CAPEX planning, annual budget compilation, ongoing Cost Centre Management)
- Service delivery, IT Governance (providing services aligned to prescribed service levels, ensuring adherence to internal IT governance, delivering solutions that conform to Enterprise Architecture and Design principles)
- Vendor management (identifying and appointing vendors that are leaders in their field, having responsibility for contract and commercial negotiations and the fostering of partnerships, managing vendor outputs in accordance with TFG service and delivery expectations, having accountability for licensing compliance and optimisation of EUC product suites)
- Operations Management (ensuring optimal, cost effective support and development tools are used, ensuring adherence to Infotec methodologies and standards, monitoring and ensuring that Service Level and Service Availability targets are achieved, management of operational processes, formulation and delivery against Continual Service Improvement (CSI) plans)
- Project Portfolio management (compiling Annual IT Project plan, implementing services and solutions that align to the key strategic objectives of TFG, accountability for project execution, deliver quality projects and solutions, on time and according to budget)


You should have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ relevant IT experience (minimum 4 years management experience) ideally within EUC or Infrastructure domains
- Proven leadership skills, high levels of maturity, confident to operate independently and able to apply good judgment to complex situations
- A strong commitment to professional service delivery
- The ability to formulate and drive strategic changes to the IT landscape
- The ability to persuade/influence decision makers
- Planning and organizing ability
- Innovative, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to promote a strong sense of accountability within team managers and their teams
- The ability to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
- The ability to effectively prioritise and drive tasks in a high pressure environment
- Good communication and organisational skills with a strong ability to influence, build relationships with, and negotiate with colleagues, and external partners
- Good attention to detail and levels of accuracy
- Knowledge and/or experience of End User Computing and/or Infrastructure technologies
- Knowledge and/or experience of retail and/or financial services industries
