One of our client in Financial Services based in the Johannesburg is looking a candidate to take the role of a Developer how will be accountable for the requirements confirmation, high level design, scoping and implementation planning, detail design, software implementation, testing, technical support, technical documentation, planning, organising and management of development activities during the SDLC.Job Description:
• Work with the client, software development manager and business analyst to ensure that requirements are understood, documented and clear.
• Work with the client, software development manager and business analyst to ensure that a high level design is done and signed off by the client.
• Assist a project manager and/or software development manager to estimate the scope of work and expected duration to complete identified activities.
• Work with the software development manager to do a detail design.
• Code, Unit testing, Technical documentation and System testing.
• Provide technical support to users and other developers.
• Investigate software errors and implement fixes.
• Define and manage development scope
• Refine and manage work breakdown structure.
• Manage delivery schedule.
• Document all communication with the client, as well as internal communications amongst project team members.
• Manage and report on project progress.
• User acceptance.
• Understand the client’s requirements and expectations.
• Meet client expectations i.t.o. deliverables, timescales and deadlines within constraints of limited resources and uncertainty in effort estimation.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 3+ years IT experience in programming and problem solving within a SAG Natural Adabas and MS .NET environment
• Exposure to the banking or financial industry advantageous
• Knowledge of CICS, ZOS and MS SQL and XML will be advantageous

Competencies/Skills:
• Software AG’s Natural and Adabas programming experience.
• Microsoft .NET framework programming experience.
