We an external client who has anew role available. Position will be a contract for 12 months. Software Designer – PLC & Scada –PCS 7 and WinCC and S7 The person must be prepared to travel 40% of their time – South Africa,Some European trips and into South Eastern Africa.To provide the technical expertise andsoftware design skills to execute the software design for industrial projects.
To be involved in setting software standards on a project
Designproject (PLC & SCADA) software.
Execute the software testing during FAT andCommissioning
System Engineers, Project Managers,Product Promoters, Manufacturing and commissioning teams.
 
Software Design - Produce the software building blocks. Project softwarecoding
Software / HardwareTesting - Testing of the "AS designed "System to produce a fault free system, therebyminimizing the commissioning time.
Commissioning - ensuring that the software meet the project and processrequirements.
Quality Assurance-  ensure that all Engineering work is done in accordance with Company & CustomerQuality Assurance standards and procedures.
Knowledge Management -  ensure the sharing of experience and knowhow via contributing to the knowledge management platform and mentoring of junior engineers anddesigners.
