A well found company is looking for a Manager – Consulting: Finance and Accounting to manage a portfolio of financial related services to public sector clientsRequirements
BCom Accounting (Hons) - minimum qualification
Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in municipal and other public sector environments
Experience in the preparation of financial statements using, GRAP essential
Have a working knowledge of the PFMA, MFMA and other legislation and acts governing the public sector environment
Accounting experience within a municipal environment is a critical success factor as is therefore a not negotiable
Ability to operate without supervision
Excellent communication skills including verbal and report writing
Ability to build and sustain networks

Responsibilities
Develop financial policies and procedures
Financial planning including financial models
Revenue enhancement
Ad hoc finance projects such as supply chain management assignments
Preparation of financial statements using GRAP, including quality review of fixed asset registers
Coach and mentor junior staff
Adhere to budget constraints of individual assignments
Implementing risk management processes and procedures
