RoleDescription: The IT Infrastructure Engineer (Collaboration/Network) will be responsible for allaspects of design and development of the firm’s Unified Communications and video conferencinginfrastructure systems, including, but not limited to, hardware and software configuration,deployment, support and maintenance, telecommunication lines, and integrations to othercollaborations systems. Further, the Engineer will be part of the Network Infrastructure teamproviding support for network engineering and remote-access VPN issues. The Engineer reports to theIT Manager of Network Infrastructure.   Candidates should have extensive knowledge of all aspectsof Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connections, Contact Centre Express, SIP and H323voice gateways, Expressway, Codian, TMS, and CMS, as well as a solid understanding of router,switch, firewall, wireless access point, and VPN configuration and management, including routing andswitching protocols, architecture design methods, wireless network environments, and networksecurity systems.   Key Responsibilities: Works with the engineering team to manage thefirm’s voice, video, and networking infrastructure including call processing, voicemail, callqueuing, MCU, scheduling, recording, integrations with other telephony and video systems and 3rdparty integrations, and related network and security equipment Individually and as part ofcross-discipline teams, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the telephony, videoconferencing, and network systems and other infrastructure elements within the firm For both newprojects and on-going operations, provide assessment of infrastructure-centric and user-orientedcollaboration and network needs, valuate interfaces and integration points between hardware andsoftware, and determine all operational and performance requirements Work with service deskspecialists, desktop infrastructure engineers, system and storage engineers, and IT Managers toprovide end-user support as a tier-3 technical subject matter expert Participate in the creation andmaintenance of technical service design documents, procedures, policies, and manuals Assist with thedevelopment of the firm's telephony, video conferencing, and network infrastructure designstandards, ensuring the design, where appropriate, incorporates industry best practices Carry outaudits of the firm's global telephony, video conferencing, and network infrastructure to ensure thatthe network complies with the firm's standards appropriate for the office IT topology and sizeProgress assigned projects and tasks with the aim of delivering them on time and to budget using thefirm's agreed Project Management procedures Produce monthly statistics, metrics and reports on thetelephony, video conferencing, and network infrastructure and identify areas of risk and usagetrends Assist in the analysis and testing of new and upgraded software Assist in providingpost-implementation support for newly implemented systems When applicable, properly evaluate anddocument/train others in the initial troubleshooting techniques to be used by tier-1 and 2 supportfor completing collaboration and network engineering support calls Participate in rotational on-callresponsibilities

Skills and Experience
