This position is for a Mining concern based in the Krugersdorp area.Salary + Benefits:

R155.56 per hour
Optional Medical aid - 50%
Compulsory Retirement fund – 50%
Compulsory Funeral Fund – 50%
Industry Leave pay and Bonus

You would require the following for this position:

Matric/ Grade 12 certificate
South African Trade tested as Electrician
Electric Wireman’s License (ELWL) at an accredited Wireman's Training Centre
3 – 5 Years work-related skill, knowledge or experience
Experience in repairing and maintaining of electronic equipment
Experience in underground mining Industry equipment operations will be advantageous
Must be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 25 kg's
Overtime and call-outs, when required
Valid code 8 driver’s license and own transport 

Your Duties will include (but not be limited to):

Working in a manufacturing oriented industry where you contribute to the effective and efficient installation, maintaining and repair of electrical wiring of equipment
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools and work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
