Our Client, a large Telecoms Company with Nation-wide operations, is looking for a Senior Manager: Broadband Direct Sales to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng. The successful incumbent will have end to end responsibility for managing a Broadband focused sales force. Develop, implement and execute a broadband fixed and mobile strategy that will accelerate the growth of new customer acquisition for both consumer and small business customers, nationally. Win the race for broadband sales and usage in the residential and small business markets by developing a differentiated and highly efficient distribution capability that extends deep into each target market. Also responsible for growing, developing and managing sales team (internal and external) and ensuring compliance with legal, operational and commercial requirements.

- Plan and implement the direct-to-market Broadband sales portfolio (fixed and mobile) & strategy of Consumers and Small Business - Develop and successfully implement a Broadband channel sales strategy for Consumers and Small Business utilizing both specialized trade partners and part-time 3rd party agents, aligned to overall business strategy & objectives that is flexible yet robust - Develop the sales plan and targets by Broadband product set, Trade Partner and the go-to-market strategy - End to end responsibility for the channel sales plan, profitability and performance - Provide market intelligence and input into the broader Company Broadband strategy - Understand and benchmark the sales force activities of competitors - Define the channel marketing requirements - Actively manage the various channel strategies with specific focus on enablement of key sales fundamentals - Compile and deliver monthly channel sales forecasts and reports - Provide regular and accurate information to the Consumer and Small Business Executive Leadership on the progress of Broadband Sales Channel (sales targets, revenue, market share, competitor activity, etc.) - Ensure the implementation of effective control measures - Build Strategic Relationship with stakeholders, internal and external - Build and manage relationships with key Executives, Senior Managers and managers within Consumer and Small Business - Build and grow relationships with CEO's, CIO's and business leaders in the market - Provide Team Leadership and build, develop, empower, and inspire the sales teams - Set and continuously monitor stretched performance targets to increase sales activation targets, revenue forecasts and manage the team's and trade partner's performance accordingly - Establish an enabling work environment and culture for optimum staff performance - Lead, guide and coach staff in channel sales skills thus ensuring a highly capable sales team - Continuously motivate staff and channels, recognizing and rewarding behavior that is congruent with the Organisation's desired culture - Ensure the implementation of effective personal and career development initiatives - Facilitate sound employee relationships and team effectiveness - Ensure staff compliments that comply with EE/diversity targets - Identify need to change and manage responses to change effectively
Education Relevant 3 year Degree/Diploma (at least NQF level 6). Post-graduate studies in Project Management and/or MBA/MBL would be an advantage.
Experience 7 Years of consumer sales experience. Understanding of outsourcing and informal direct sales models.
Special Requirements Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level. Understanding of the sales and more importantly the telecoms environment in SA, market trends & existing relationships with key channels partners. Demonstrate with a proven track record, strong negotiations skills complemented by strong (verbal & written) communication skills, as well as persistent win-win mind-set. Pragmatic business judgment reflected in ability to identify high potential focus areas and ways to capture the potential. Driven and proactive mind-set.
