Our client based in Pretoria iscurrently looking for a Cisco Engineer for a period of 6 months to effectively manage the ICTnetwork and to provide IT infrastructure support for the day to day running of the business. 
.     Management and support ofthe Company systems and IT infrastructure
 
• Implement, manage and support Network Systems that comprise ofSwitches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless devices, VOIP and Video systems across the business
 
• Liaisewith outside vendors ensuring minimum downtime to business systems.
 
• Obtain an in depth understanding ofthe infrastructure installations.
 
• Identify areas for service improvement and ensure a process of continuousimprovement is carried out.
 
• Provide the final line of support for all network relatedqueries.
 
•In conjunction with the larger IT team ensure relevant documentation for systems implemented is keptup to date: build documents, network diagrams, SOP's, service continuity etc.
 
• Perform daily systemmonitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, systems and keyprocesses.
 
•Provide tier 2, 3 and other support per requests from the ticketing system. Investigate andtroubleshoot issues both remotely and onsite and ensure the calls are resolved within the agreedtime frames stipulated in the SLA.
 
• Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrativetools and utilities.
 
• Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
 
•  Facilitate on-time reporting,tracking and resolution of hardware, network, communication or infrastructure failures.
 
• Provide overtime andstandby services as needed by the business.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
 
•             BDegree/National Diploma in IT (Desirable)
 
•             Minimum 5Years’ Experience as a Network Engineer
 
•             CCNP R&SEssential
 
•             CCNP VoiceEssential
 
•             CCNAWireless Essential 
 
•            Experience with Cisco Call Manager will be an advantage
 
•             Experiencewith Cisco IM and Presence will be an advantage
 
•             Experiencewith Cisco Unity Connection will be an advantage
 
•             Experiencewith Cisco Unified Contact Centre Express will be an advantage
 
•             Experiencewith Cisco 2500 Series Wireless Controllers will be an advantage
 
•             ITILFoundation certification will be an Advantage
 
•             MCSEcertification will be an advantage
 
•            VCP certification will be an advantage
 
•             IBM BladeServer and SAN management experience will be an advantage.
