Global leading business looking for a Senior Linux Developer to join their team! This role would require you to maintain current and new product development platform and architecture. This role allows for international exposure to major software / hardware project initiatives. Must have 5 years’ experience in developing software, advanced Linux skills, previous experience with C++ OR Python is required & an in-depth insight in the technical principles of data processing.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Input into detailed software the context of projects, working with the technical team and other departments.
• Development of backend applications for Fleet Management and general operation.
• Support for application design, implementation, debug & maintenance tasks
• Build and maintain platform system infrastructure.
• Provide support for large server environment, maintaining system standardization, security, software and performance.
• Development of support and system tools to help automate administration and support tasks.
• Regularly determining new ways of improving existing environment, discovering ways to implement new technology into existing infrastructure.
Key skills and qualification requirements
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in developing software
• Must have proven track record with Linux
• Previous experience with C/C++ and Python is required
• Advanced Linux Knowledge is required
• Development in an object orientated environments
• SQL Database experience required, preferably PostgreSQL
• Additional languages of benefit: PHP, Perl, Java
• Must have an in-depth insight in the technical principles of data processing
