Don't sell a product - sell a solution! Working with a huge amount of data and various platforms which allow them to analyse it, our client advises retail clients and developers on a wide range of matters. From how to position your mall to where to open a new shop, the demographic surrounding your site or the earning potential and product line expectations - they can unpack detailed information to help investors and retailers to make informed decisions. Whilst they do have some standard or 'shelf' products, most of their services are custom made to their clients’ needs. They are looking to hire a sales person who understands the potential of their data and can apply their mind to the issue which the potential client has, in order to sell them bespoke solution which solves their particular product. Although you will benefit from your employer’s good name in the market, and 'call in' queries, this role would only suit someone who is able to business develop independently. Of course, full training on their unique service will be offered, but your experience in dealing with metadata will be essential, as you will need to come up with possible solutions with clients on the spot, before referring to your strong internal team for engineering. You will need to understand the methods of data extraction and be able to easily explain the value proposition of the fix you are proposing. This is a non-corporate working environment which emphasizes results and customer satisfaction rather than method or time keeping.
