Job Purpose:

To understand and analyse the CARD enviroments relevant business processes, functions and business requirements
To conduct requirements elicitation and documentation of design, development, analysis and testing of business enabling solutions for the CASH enviroment
Communicating all requirements clearly and with the required level of detail to all stakeholders
To manage & grow the relationship with business and solution providers
To understand the end to end CARD Business processes and systems

Key Accountabilities:

Develop and manage relationships with other project managers within the organisation, BU IT Heads, various IT stakeholders, relevant business owners and other internal business partners and stakeholders that form part of the solution delivery process
Manage inter-dependencies between IT internal departments to deliver the various projects / initiatives within the service line
Accurately identifies and communicates potential changes to, and their impact on, Business area
Accurately and consistently incorporates agreed changes across affected requirements documentation and simultaneously identifies, analyses and escalates project and/or solution risks and issues
Quality of business requirements gathering
Liaising between the business and the value chain stakeholders
Recommend improvements in business processes
Mapping of business components to application components
Identification of the possible impact of business triggers on the business architecture and communicate same to the relevant team
Identify opportunities to automate business processes
Accountability for the solution definition according to the agreed project scope; including leading, eliciting, capturing, clarifying, structuring, communicating, validating and supporting the design of business and technology
Comply to the business analysis method as defined by the organisation
Provide input, guidance and support for CIT and SIT testing. This includes the review of the test approach, test strategy, test scenarios and test cases. Participate in defect classification and resolution.
Design UAT test cases and test scenarios, perform testing and review UAT results
Participate in defect classification and resolution

Plan BA Activities:

Develop a business analysis approach outlining activities and deliverables on the project
Define the stakeholders required to fulfil the solution requirements implementation including their role and responsibility

Define Solution Requirements:

Understand the business and its applications
Use appropriate techniques such as brainstorming, document analysis, focus groups, requirements workshops, prototyping etc. to elicit complete and accurate requirements
Document the details and concerns obtained from stakeholders during elicitation and ensure a shared understanding and agreement to the solution requirements and their priority
Validate documented requirements to ensure they match stakeholders understanding and obtain approval of the overall solution scope and requirements to be implemented
Review As-Is processes and identify problems areas/short-comings
Identify areas of improvement or opportunities to existing business processes and applications
Use appropriate elicitation techniques to elaborate the business rules
Ensure that business goals and objectives are fulfilled through a proposed solution
Confirm the high level solution is appropriate to achieve the business requirements
Trace requirements through the development lifecycle and back to the business objectives to help validate them
Organise and manage changes to the requirements

Define Business Solution:

Understand the requirements to enable building a solution to meet business needs in an effective and efficient manner
Compare and adopt best practice business processes that fulfil the business needs.
Detail the business process flows
Define the business information model
Perform a fit/gap analysis and impact analysis
Investigate solution alternatives and based on the chosen decision analysis technique propose the best one to meet a business need

Design Business System Solution:

Model and specify requirements utilising techniques such as business rule analysis, scope modelling, data dictionary and glossary, data modelling, process modelling, prototyping, scenarios and use cases, non-functional requirements analysis etc
Develop and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements specifications as per the defined organisation standards
Define temporary requirements if any for transitioning the solution to a working state such as a parallel operation, training, etc.
Ensure that solution requirements are fulfilled by the technical design

Deliver and Support Solution:

Provide support and input into systems integration testing approach, test cases and test scenarios
Coordinate, facilitate and if required undertake user acceptance testing; conduct the testing of the system to ensure the system meets all business requirements
Facilitate the solution implementation
Assist in resolving any post implementation issues during the support period
Collaborate with delivery managers in ensuring all functional requirements are addressed during implementation
Participate in quality reviews and implement corrective measures to ensure compliance and/or to enhance the solution
Assist in the identification of risks and issues pertaining to the implementation of the solution requirements
Review of changes to project scope and provide advice on impact to project timelines, solution scope and functional resource requirements to the project/programme manager
Provide inputs to relevant teams for continuous improvement
Adhere to the adopted methodology for the project/programme
Report on status and progress of the business analysis activities
Ensure accurate and complete delivery of the business analysis tasks
Understand the business architecture
Understand how the proposed solutions impact on the business strategic objectives
Organise and schedule resources for conducting business analysis on a project
Undertake facilitation sessions as required
Understand emerging offerings, tools, processes and trends impacting the business
To ensure quality of BA deliverables which reflect a robust and complete business solution

Preferred Qualification and Experience:

Banking knowledge is desirable
Degree or Diploma in computer science, commerce or business administration desired
Cash IT Systems,Process, Projects and Technology-acquiring, merchant solutions experience and knowledge is preferred
Business Analysis Qualification is preferred
Recognised Business Analyst qualification
Exposure to Project Management methodologies, such as PRINCE2
Awareness of SDLC methodologies e.g. RAD , Waterfall, Agile
CBAP/CCBA certification will be advantageous

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise:

Experience in the area of business analysis / business consulting
Knowledge of SDLC and BABOK Principles
