Role details:
A well-known bank in the Midrand area is looking for a driven and detail oriented Project Manager with 7 years of project and program management experience as well as PMBOK / PRINCE2 and Agile experience / certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Managing and monitoring the delivery dates of all the projects allocated within the PMO.
- Administering all project registers (risks, issue, etc.), project documentation (Business Requirements Specification [BRS], Scope of Work [SOW], etc and reports in accordance with the PMO's standard.
- Ensuring that necessary approvals are received for all documentation and that documentation adheres to the standard naming conventions and saved correctly on the shared drive.
- Administering the Project Online System for all allocated projects and developing and maintaining the necessary management reports.
- Managing all project plans on Project Online (MS Project/EPM).
- Developing and presenting project progress reports and other documentation as required,
- Keeping minutes of all project meetings.
- Validating and generating project registers and reports to ensure these portray the actual facts
- Ensuring that SOW/BRD/BRS's are developed and address the requirements as documented.
- Collaborating with Architects, Developers, Testers, etc. to develop a system solution that will satisfy the business's expectations as depicted in the BRS/SOW/BRD/Business Case.
- Assisting in change management of processes and training if required.
- Adhering to all the processes, templates, standards, protocols and the project management life cycle of the PMO.
- Identifying and escalating non-delivery on adherence to PMO protocol, standards, processes and methodology.
- Ensuring effective communication protocols between PMO standards, process and methodology and the personnel working in the PMO.
- Developing required templates.
- Conducting regular project health checks and audits.

Required Attributes and Competencies:

- BEE Candidates Only
- In depth knowledge of Project Management Standards and Methodologies (PMBOK & PRINCE 2)
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM)/ Project Online System
- Good knowledge of Scrum and other Agile methodologies
- MUST be detail oriented and DRIVEN to deliver

Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree in Information -
Technology/Engineering/Business
- At least 7 years of project and program management experience
- Qualifications in Project and Program Management (PMBOK & PRINCE2)
- Banking (and insurance) experience will be advantageous

Type of Employment:
12 month initial contract
