PURPOSE:

- Provides strategic and tactical direction and manages
multiple teams responsible for the support and training delivery.
- Drives to increase efficiency, optimisation, innovation and people development in the technology support teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Provides training and support services to a product by delivering support channels, analysis of support incidents, identify training requirements, establish training strategies and planned execution thereof.
- Support and Train a user base of software systems.
- Systems that are used to service / sell to an
internal customer / client i.e. a product or channel or
platform.
- Holds responsibility for all support and training of end users of software systems making up the product and quality assures the work.
- Derives training and support options within current system landscape for all identified opportunities for product, process or system improvement.
- Negotiates the tactical and specific delivery expectations with the Product Owner and agrees with the Product Head.
- Provides faultless, professional, contracted delivery to agreed expectations.
- Holds responsibility for support and training availability, and performance according to pre-defined SLAs and standards with respect to the product.
- Proposes and motivates for the right people for the team structure with the Product Head.
- Ensures support and training channels are clearly
defined and negotiated where dependencies exist to
leverage on supporting teams outside of the immediate
internal team to address end user requirements.
- Drives and delivers third party provision within
the training and support eco-system.


PEOPLE / TEAM:

- Determines the resource requirement based on the objectives and scope of the product training and support objectives and priorities.
- Ensures the training and support team comprises right skills to deliver.
- Recruits budgeted vacancies within the Training
and Support team
- General leadership oversight and management of
the team day to day.
- Manages the changing people challenges such as
fluidity of resources, remote working, different development needs.
- Creates a product focus and understanding of the
product led operating model.
- Drives accountability and ownership amongst
team members for personal development, including
goal plans.
