Urgently looking for a Helpdesk Linux Server Agent for my client based in Braynston The essential requirement is A+, N+, LPIC or RHCSA and 4 Years Linux Experience - This is not negotiable

Description

Responsibilities:
General Technical Support

Provide full hardware level support on Servers
Provide full hardware level support on workstations
Troubleshooting of Server failures and escalation to server team as required
Creation of users on both Windows and Linux platforms
Joining workstations to Active Directory managed domains and Samba managed domains
Setup scripts for mapping network drives
Setting up VPN Connections on workstations

Network and Connectivity

Configuration of ADSL Routers in both router and bridge mode
Configuration of Wireless Access Points with VLANs if required
Configuration of Managed Switches
Troubleshooting of physical network failures
Troubleshooting of network Routing and Mail flow
Trouble Shooting DNS related issues

Windows Server Administration Only basic support required

Administration and Support of DNS Server
Administration and Support of DHCP Server
Administration and Support of File Shares, ALC & Samba Shares
Basic Administration and Support of Active Directory Users
Basic Understanding of GPO’s and Proxy enforcement via GPO’s

Linux Server Administration

Administration and Support of Redhat / CentOS/ Debian
Administration and Support of Firewalls (iptables)
Administration and Support DNS administration (Bind)
Administration and Support of Mail server (Sendmail, Dovecot, Spam Assassin, ClamAV)
Administration and Support of Webhosting (Apache)
Administration and Support of Proxy Administration (Squid)
Administration and Support of Dansgaurdian
Administration and Support of Virtual Hosts and Guests (KVM)
Administration and Support of Databases(MySQL)
Administration and Support of Backups (Redstore, Rsync)


Requirements

Education and Experience

Matric, A+, N+, LPIC 1 or RHCSA
4 + Years Linux server support experience
3 + Years Network setup & Maintenance experience
3 + Years desktop support experience on MS Office and Desktop Windows
1 + Years Backup setup, maintenance & restore experience
ITIL Foundation certifications
All round strong IT knowledge
General understanding of different internet/networking connections (ADSL, 3G, WiMax, Wifi, VPN, ect

Advantageous:

Microsoft Desktop Certification MCSE/MCITP
Mikrotik device troubleshooting
