Role details:
A large ITDistribution company in Midrand is looking for a Business Development Manager with 3-5 years solarexperience to establish relationships with the industrial and commercial market for solar product

Key Responsibility Areas:

Establishrelationships with existing and prospecting clients, acquiring new business and identifying salesopportunities.
Ability to build relationships with Clients at all levels of professionalengagement.
Demonstrate solution selling capabilities including planning meetings/calls,asking questions that allows you to ascertain customer's needs and objectives, aligning solutions tocustomers objectives, issue resolution and delivering on those solutions.
Own strategicrelationships within portfolio and leverage business tools and industry data to provide insight andmake recommendations that will add value to clients. 
Ensure to be knowledgeable ofmarket trends in relations to portfolio, allowing a proactive and responsive engagement through allstages of the sales cycle.
Ensure all sales activities and communication to clients areinputted in the CRM, in order to effectively manage client expectations and ensure all deliverablesare executed.
Report on lost deals with reasons and pending deals (pipeline).
Display accuracy regarding messages, quotes, orders, and information given.
Answercustomer queries, offer product information-do quotes and process orders.
Consult withclients to establish the needs of their business.
Ensure customer expectations are met(order taking and delivery).
Increase overall customer satisfaction of new and existingcustomer base in order to be effective in solving challenges that arise, and need to be solved forthe customer

Education &Experience: 

Matric/Grade 12
Vendor/ relationship and stockmanagement
Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent 
Must have at least 3-5 years solar experience 
Must have 7 -10 sales experience and proven record indelivering on targets.
Must be able to present a case study on delivering on solutionselling to a client.
Ability to demonstrate sales activity plans in order to achieve aconsistent growing pipeline
Ability to work autonomously and in a team contributing toleads and achieving a common goal
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ahunter mentality
Technical Competencies:
MS Office (Advanced)essential 
Stock Management on ERP system will be an advantage
CRM explorerand Crystal reporting will be an advantage
Knowledge regarding accounting principles willbe an advantage Networking
Business Acumen
Time Management Additional Requirement
