Job purpose:

Design, develop and configure new and amended Business intelligence solutions to meet business process and information requirements, conforming to SBSA BI Internal standards and mitigate risk.
Provide support for existing Business Intelligence solution.

Accountability:

Design and develop configurations that meet business process requirements.
Review and sign off TSS Documentation.
Development and configuration Testing.
Conform with and evolve SBSA BI internal programming standards.
Risk Mitigation and Quality Assurance.
Incident management.

Key responsibilities:

Create assigned developments for business units and IT modules, to meet business process requirements and achieve a well-configured result.
Amend developments and configurations for business units and IT modules in accordance with the requirements.
Plan, create and conduct tests of developments and configurations; correcting errors and re-testing to achieve an error-free result.
Document all work in accordance with agreed standards.
Conduct reviews of business process requirements, with others as appropriate.
Contribute towards the process design workshops.
Facilitate and assist in the technical preparation of Business Process Procedures, Test Scenarios, End-user Documentation, and User Manuals.
SAP design, development and configuration with support from the relevant SME (Subject Matter Expert).
Perform Project Administration Tasks.
Comply with relevant Project Methodologies.
Provide guidance and facilitate knowledge transfer to junior resources.
Participate in Knowledge Transfer initiatives to ensure own growth and development.
Participate in overall strategy and future development initiatives of SBSA.
Identify and mitigate risk, through constant revision of business processes in line with IT processes.
Oversee and manage quality assurance of technical deliverables, making use of approved SBSA QA tools and processes.
Participate in cross-skilling opportunities to develop and grow full SAP exposure and skill.
Manage assigned production incidents.
Oversee functional configuration of Business Objects enterprise for optimal and stable performance.

Performance Management and Development:

Sign off your Performance Appraisal after every formal and informal rating provided at least 4 (four) times a year.
Take accountability for your performance by ensuring you have scheduled one on ones with your line manager to discuss your performance at least every month.
Keep track of performance progress by having a portfolio of evidence and update it after every one on one discussion.
Manage career plans by following through on actions agreed in the Performance Development Plan with line manager at least twice a year.
Capture all performance related requirements on People Fluent (EPM) which includes the goals, self review according to the specified times provided.
Attend the SAP Induction and On boarding programme.
Complete all mandatory compliance training within the specified time provided by Group.
Capture All About Time (AAT) weekly against the correct project and ensure that the time is approved.
All overtime, standby and call out hours to be captured according to the agreed standard bank policy within the agreed timeframes provided and approved by your line manager.
Understand and comply with all policies and procedures related to HR, Finance, Compliance and Risk.

Internal and external relationships:

Develop and manage relationships with other project managers within the Programme and Project Management Competency group, Analysis Service Line Lead, various IT stakeholders and stakeholders that form part of the solution delivery process.
Manage inter-dependencies between IT internal departments to deliver the various projects within the service line

Qualifications / knowledge:

Diploma in Information Systems and/or
BCom Information Systems and/or
BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems) and/or
Professional Qualification Level 5

SAP Specific Qualifications:

SAP Business Objects Certification (Necessary)
Financial/Banking Type Qualification / Certification (Advantageous)
Internal Training from SBSA FAIS, Banking, Financial (Advantageous - but must be incorporated into the Induction)
