Role details:
Systems Administrator.

To perform the day to day operational running of existing server infrastructure to , ensure operational continuity of systems.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Manage and maintain backup services to enhance service continuity requirements
Manage and maintain antivirus, antimalware and security update services.
Manage Active Directory and user administration
Deploy software
Conduct project-based work for implementation of ICT services
Performs maintenance and administration of Microsoft Windows environment.
Achieve set turnaround times in line with the agreed service level management time lines (for infrastructure)
Report on System Performance and Capacity management Compile, maintain and develop relevant service documentation
Accurately identify system issues and implement the relevant resolutions or escalate to service provider.
Resolves complex operations and infrastructure incidents.
Perform complex tasks to restore network operation in an expeditious manner
Implement accurate continuity measures to ensure timely recovery of systems
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
Research, evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies
Occasional after hours support
Perform any other duties as requested

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Relevant MCITP certifications
3 years’ relevant experience in supporting and managing large scale backup environments.
3 years’ experience in supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies: Active Directory, Windows Server 2008 and 2012, IIS.
3 years’ experience in managing Antivirus and security update services
5 years general IT experience
Demonstrate ability to communicate and engage with business partners, technical vendors and internal engineering counter parts
Must have past experience in supporting a Virtual Server Environment and have a solid understanding of the technology

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Location, traveling, shift hours
Open plan office
Overtime when required
Standby when required
Based in Centurion – required to be on-site within 30 minutes when on standby
