A leading bank seeks to engage services of a dynamic and competent individual to perform the duties of Business Manager for the Head: Global Markets and Investment Banking Operations. The individual must be trustworthy and flexible and can operate under pressure and be the right hand support for the Head: GM/IB Operations. \n\n

Job Purpose A leading bank seeks to engage services of a dynamic and competent individual to perform the duties of Business Manager for the Head: Global Markets and Investment Banking Operations. The individual must be trustworthy and flexible and can operate under pressure and be the right hand support for the Head: GM/IB Operations. Key Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesOverall Strategy and Financial Objectives•Work with the CIB Operations Executive team at Head Office and the Head of Operations and teams across the regions to formulate and execute business strategy, tactics and financial plan related to the Operations function supporting the Global Markets and Investment Banking businesses•Analysis of financials, MIS, stakeholder engagement and reporting and highlighting key matters/issues /requirements arising to the Head: GM/IB Operations.•Work with business and finance and produce the performance level analysis needed to conduct monthly performance reviews with each region.Leadership•Attend and represent the EXCO team at various forums•Work with the Management Team to agree and implement people Strategy•Contribute to the performance driven culture within the area•Ability to motivate individuals and work with the GM/IB Operations leaders in building team-oriented, inspirational goals that are aligned to the objectives of the CIB business in the region•Act as change agent in the positioning and implementation of new and on going strategic initiatives and objectives.•Enhance brand value and thought leadership.•Efficient stakeholder communication and managementEnhancing Performance •Coordinating and consolidating GM/IB Operations submissions for the various EXCO and GOVCO reports.•Drafting of presentations and other documentation as required by the Head: GM/IB Operations.•Participate and lead projects.•Conducting internal/external research as and when required.•Where necessary, participate in and coordinate various Steercoms that are owned by GM/IB Operations. This includes the administrative functions of the agenda as well as tracking of action items.•Analyse performance reports across the business to identify trends, opportunities, concerns and report these in a consolidated format as required.
