Core Description:
The incumbent is responsible for the compilation and maintenance of the aligned Ancillary Services Master-Plan. To pre-provision Ancillary Services to enable the Telkom ICT Network and NGN rollout and perform all operations and aspects relevant to the Ancillary Services discipline. To improve energy utilisation and efficiencies. To enable and execute optimization strategies. Compile and update Ancillary Master-plans and project Scope of Work documents. Responsible for Ancillary project execution and completion.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct audits, baseline audits, site inspections and investigations. - Compile consolidated network growth requirements for short, medium and long terms, based on various technology masterplans, trends & history, technology strategy and assumptions. - Compile and implement Ancillary services master plans. - Compile and approve Projects Scope of Work specifications. - Identify optimization opportunities and enable traffic migration and redundant equipment recoveries. - Project manage master plan implementation. - Conduct feasibility studies and special investigations. - Capitalize completed projects. - Maintain and update Ancillary services master plans. - Improve energy utilization and efficiencies. - Compile and update reports on Capital and Opex savings. - Compile plan/ technology application footprint.
Required Certification Professional registration with the Engineering Council of SA (ECSA) would be an added advantage.

Qualifications
BSc, B.Eng, M.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (at least NQF Level 8) with 3 years relevant DC Power/Facilites/Ancillary Service experience.
- OR -
Relevant 3 year Degree/National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (at least NQF level 6) with 5 years relevant DC Power/Facilites/Ancillary Service experience.
