A Unix Systems Administrator is required for one of Cape Town’s leading brands. Work in a real time environment with experienced colleagues and various business units. This is critical to the overall business function and needs a skilled and passionate Unix Admin that can think on their feet without compromising quality.Qualification:

Relevant IT Degree/Diploma



Skills & Experience:

Min 3 year Unix Admin experience

IBM AIX5/6/7 server experience

Shell scripting

DR experience

Virtualisation experience

Installation, configuration, resolution, troubleshoot experience



Job Description:

As a support function to users this role includes problem resolution and performance monitoring on IBM servers.

Integrate new technologies into the current data center environment.

Troubleshoot any reported issues.

Total configuration of the system including hard and software.

Routine system audits.
