Duties:Project responsibilities
Designs, creates, and unit tests code to meet assigned requirements
Creates code that meets design specifications, follows standards, is easy to maintain and is reasonably free from defects
Provides maintenance, improvement and production support for existing applications
Participates in design sessions to comprehend the business requirement and solution to be delivered
Assists the Manager with creating project plans and estimating task durations
Tests and peer reviews code for technical accuracy, standards, and functional compliance to the design
Communicates with other developers, product managers and technical support specialists on product issues
Works with Testing team to ensure that the product is accurately tested
Provides technical assistance and technical training to other departments as required
Organizational responsibilities
Works with the Manager and regional team leads to promote and implement best practices, processes and procedures
Identifies and proposes areas of improvement throughout the software development process
Is responsible for technical training and mentoring of less seasoned developers
