Role details:
Our Cape Town-based client in the public transport and logistics sector is urgently seeking the services of a suitably qualified Training & Development Manager who will also head up their Learning and Assessment Centre. Kindly note that only EE Female candidates may apply.

Responsibilities:

a) To identify and implement skills development and Learnership Programmes, which support the business objectives.

b) To enhance standards and levels of accredited learning in terms of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and facilitates the delivery of accredited learning and the Certification of Learners with a National Certificate in Professional Driving and other relevant programmes.

c) To develop current and future orientated learning strategies in line with the company’s vision and mission.

d) To lead and influence integration and unification of learning initiatives within the company.

e) To equip employees with current and emerging competencies to meet the business needs through the design, facilitation and communication of general learning interventions.

f) To ensure continuous improvement on Human Resources Development (HRD) systems, co-ordination of administration and processes related to learning interventions.

g) To provide an effective service to the company with up to date and accurate information on which sound decisions can be made, e.g. Training Schedules, Skills Plan, linked to deliverables.

Job Requirements

A Bachelors Degree in Humanities or an equivalent qualification.
A postgraduate qualification in Industrial Psychology will be an added advantage.
Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals
A minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position.
Possession of a valid South African driver’s license.
Knowledge of South Africa’s skills development programme is a critical for the appointment of a candidate to this position.

Job Profile

This is a management position and the incumbent will report directly to the Human Resources Executive.
The next senior level of reporting is to the Chief Executive Officer.
This position requires a dynamic individual who is capable of managing diverse talent in a highly operational and technical environment.
The role encompasses strategic and people leadership for Human Resources.
The role has a clear responsibility for alignment of the company’s training initiatives to the transport and logistical needs of the country.

Remuneration

Includes a basic salary, 13th cheque, Pension, Medical Aid, Car Allowance and Telephone Allowance.
