Minimum requirements:• MCDBA and/or MCTS (SQL Administration);
• BSC Degree
• 4+ years experience in SQL as DBA
• 4+ years in IT
• 2+ years experience in SQL 2008
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Writing SQL Scripts (T-SQL) to extract data from database
• SQL programming- writing stored procedures, triggers and functions) (OLTP)
• Data analysis (OLAP)
• Data warehousing
• Adhoc reporting
• Ensuring data integrity of SQL databases
• Replication (transactional)
• Cubes (Star schema / Snow flake schema)
• Develop process automation in line with business requirements
• Manipulating and transferring data in and out of SQL Server (DTS)
• Writing T-SQL scripts for adhoc queries and reports
• Publishing SQL data on web pages
• Database scripting
• SQL programming
• Designing and implementing SQL databases
Configuration management
• Performing or assisting the System Administrator with installation / upgrades of SQL Server & applying SQL service packs
• Setting Database Server parameters
• Setting up and scheduling database events
• Installing or upgrading SQL Server & applying SQL Server service packs
• Implementation and management of database monitoring / tuning tool(s)
