Our client, a leading distributor of hardware products has a challenging and rewarding positionavailable for a Client Technical Architect to be based in Midrand. This position is based in the IBMBusiness Unit department of the client.
Education & Experience:

Matric/ Grade12
Degree/Diploma in marketing an advantage
Minimum 2Years’ experience in IT field
Knowledge regarding enterprise products would be anadvantage.

Purpose of the position:

Consult directlywith clients, learning their business, industry, technical requirements and competitivelandscape.
Leverage your technical expertise to identify and progress IBM enterpriseopportunities.
Collaborate with sales and technical teams to define, design and detail thetechnical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions.

Key ResponsibilityAreas:

Articulate benefits of complex technical solutions and products viabusiness terms to customers.
Identify and translate business requirements into technicalrequirements.
Understanding, obtaining and communicating the necessary information requiredto put a technical solution together.
Managing and utilizing vendor knowledge bases.
Provide complete solutions utilizing demos, proof of concepts or technologies andpresentations
Maintain relationships with Vendor sales and technical contacts
Continuously upgrade skills to allow optimum support ability and to ensure the most appropriatesolutions are proposed.
Configuration of servers and storage an advantage.
Assisting in the development of support material partners
Building up relationshipswith all pre-sales and technical contacts at partners
Consulting partners when requiredwith relevant product information
Provide all necessary training to partners
Partner with sales peers to manage territory to drive new sales and expand existingbusiness.
