Our client, a leading distributorof hardware products has a challenging and rewarding position available for a Product Manager withintheir HPE space

Purpose of position:
Develop and manage a strategy, which will optimise theproduct/brand performance in the market place while achieving the objectives set by both the vendorand the company.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Responsible for total salesnumber for product range.
Drive sales team to grow vendor revenue in existing install baseaccounts and new accounts, through focused marketing strategies, campaigns and end userenablement.
Ensure that sales team is representing the interests of all the focused within eachrespective partner.
Provide accurate and regular sales forecasts and business updates tomanagement & to vendors.
Work with sales team to ensure that each sales opportunity isdriven as proactively as possible.
Engage in collaborative, strategic and tactical businessplanning with key partners:-
o Identify new markets
o Understand the partner salesprocess and develop a sales and marketing strategy to best suit the partner.
o Develop salestools to assist partner sales and pre sales
o Develop sales and marketing strategy to mineexisting customer base
o Identify key new accounts and design a sales approach to bring newcustomers on board.
o Assist partner with broad-base marketing to promote their business
oAssist partner with customer reference sites
o Create and promote high impact and innovativemarketing programs and initiatives within the partners to generate new opportunities
o Designpartner enablement plans, to ensure partner resources are skilled in the marketing programs andproducts they are going to drive
o Develop enable programs for partners to drive into theirexisting and prospective base
Use best practices for opportunity management, account planningand forecasting
Key role in defining and implementing vendors overall strategy within theorganization
Align vendors strategic focus to the company's resources and structures
Developing and managing the Vendor Relationship across a broad spectrum i.e. Local andinternational.
Understanding the various target markets and mapping the organizations focus tothese markets
Defining & developing partners focus by strategically aligning each partnerto the objectives set out by the vendor, understanding how to develop partners and into whatmarkets.
Implementing go to market programs to drive focus products and solutions
Assisting in the recruiting and development of new vendor partners in the respective territoriesor markets.
Managing the vendor partner program.
Managing internal training and skillsdevelopment for vendor products, ensuring that the staff has the skill to represent thevendor’s interests.
Defining & executing skills development programs for partners.
Working with partners to devise growth strategies and implementing these strategies
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Threeyears sales experience in the IT industry (Essential), in IT
Matric or equivalent distribution(preferred)
Two years sales experience selling to large corporate customers (preferred)
Account management experience (Essential)
Matric certificate with exemption (essential)
Marketing or commerce degree or diploma (Preferred) Additional Requirement:
Must have owntransport and valid driver’s license
