Our client based in JHB CBD is searching for a Supply Chain Analyst to join their team. The perfect Candidate will have to fit the below criteria to qualify.

Requirements:

Relevant 3 year degree/diploma (Logistics or Supply Chain)
Bachelor’s Degree with Finance, Mathematics or Supply Chain.
Sap Experience in Procurement Environment
If you do not have Sap experience then JDE with Automotive experience will be accepted.
Supply chain knowledge
3+ years’ experience within supply chain
Good knowledge of ERP
In depth business knowledge

Responsibilities:

Inventory Control


Execute Purchase Orders to Vendors
Confirm Orders – focus on EDI
Order-book reconciliations
Include priority setting and manage action-messages
Translate the sales plan into a purchase plan:
Create projected order report
Communicate and agree with suppliers
Communicate with other stakeholders (demand planning, purchasing,…) to raise any possible issues on capacity
Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers
Implement fair solutions for the supplier
Regular communication and planning
Co-ordinate and monitor supplier corrective actions
Manage inventory levels:
Construct action plans to meet target inventory levels and ensure inventory levels are within budget
Investigate quality of inventory and take appropriate action to prevent and reduce obsolete inventory
Manage master-data set-up correctly:
Ensure order parameters are in line with the inventory objective
Determine safety stock together with Demand Planning
Align Lot-sizes, MOQs and propose Pack Sizes
Assign best fit supplier and communicate problem items with Purchasing, Product Management, Sales and Customer Service
Product life cycle management:
Take part in regular meetings
Recommend changes in life cycle status and adopt best fit stocking policy
Coordinate purchases and planning to launch new products
Preparation of reports in line with objectives
