Role details:
This role functions in a team providing services to a client, multi-vendor, multi-protocol complex storage delivery environments. Interacts frequently with clients, vendors and management to ensure high level of client satisfaction.

Acts as a resource and point of escalation for team members. Engages in identifying and resolving complex problems relating to storage daily operations and project delivery. This role needs to have a strong technical background and ability to learn and/or work with multiple tool sets.

Candidate should have a background in support of Mainframe Storage Delivery for multiple multi national and large customers. Needs to be familiar with LEAN methodologies and have experience supporting IBM Services Delivery following the Global Delivery Framework model. Must be familiar with the dispatch process and using data to make decisions about process improvements for the delivery team. Strong business, technical and project management skills, as well as previous delivery experience in a technical environment are required.

This position is required to be on-site at IBM Park in Johannesburg.

Required Technical Skills:

Required Experience in DFSMS toolsets including HSM, RMM, DFP and DSS. Knowledge in support of IBM Metro/Global Mirror and GDPS. Strong AMS and IDCAMS exposure will be a benefit. Working Knowledge of IBM Storage Hardware will assist in this job role.
