Job Profile Job Title: Vacancy - Financial Accountant (Cape Town)
Reporting to: Financial Manager
Qualification: Bcom or Diploma in Financial Accounting / Financial Control or Auditing
Must have minimum of 5 years in a FMCG industry
2 years financial accounting experience
Computer literate in P/C spreadsheets and AS400 financial applications especially JD Edwards.
Job Purpose:
Manage and control functional and Statutory activities of the Cape Town Accounts Department and ensure that all Accounting information is presented timeously and accurately to management and other departments.
Key Performance Area:
Manages capital expenditure process
Fixed Asset Register
Prepares Annual Financial Plans and maintains Rolling Forecasts
Reconciliation of General Ledger Control accounts
Controls and updates master records in JDE
Cash Management
Project Work
Monthly reporting
Month-end process
Debtors/Sales
Knowledge:
Factory Accounting internal policy and procedures.
Technical Accounting skills.
Manufacturing systems relative to inventory – BPCS.
Financial systems in JD Edwards.
Business systems interfaced to the General Ledger.
SB14 tracking system.
Microsoft packages – Excel and Word.
