• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis or a related discipline (NQF Level 6).
• 7+ years of IT industry experience with 4+ years of experience working as a technical architect in the data integration /data warehouse space designing solutions to meet business requirements.
• Proven and demonstrated prior experience with many of the following: data integration, data staging, data distribution, master data management, data governance, data quality.
• Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, including OLTP and OLAP (star/snowflake schema) data structures for Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Marts and Operational Data Stores.
• Proven and demonstrated experience in Architecture Design for High Availability and Load Balancing/Grid Configuration
• Expert level skills in design and development of Data maps, workflows.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand their data usage and needs.
• Strong experience in tools (i.e. Informatica, SAP) administration and support in a Unix or Linux environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills and able to work independently.
• Data Solution Architecture experience in Master Data or big data technologies is a big plus.
• To lead the Bank’s Business information systems team, and Partnering with SAPO IT.
• The primary responsibilities will be to design, develop and implement Data Integration solutions, Data warehousing, MDM, Data Modelling and defining standards and processes for data integration and participate in Data Integration Architecture.
• This involves identifying potential strategic Postbank IT programmes and providing assurance that initiated IT projects and programmes to deliver solutions that are aligned with the future vision.
• Our major areas of focus are: IT Strategy (doing the right things) and Architecture (doing things right).
• Develop future state architecture with road map in the areas of data integration/delivery, ODS, data warehousing.
• Deploy technologies that are positioned as the standard Master Data Management (MDM) product for the enterprise analytical landscape including the management of reference data within the enterprise warehouse.
• Implement of Data Integration, Metadata Management & Data Profiling/Quality practices.
• Ensure the effective and efficient management and control of functions/resources in accordance with the stipulations of the Public Financial Management Act, fraud prevention and risk management principles, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations.
